The owner is a nice person. If you want more privacy weekdays are more preferred. Nice room with attached bathroom , tv, ac, wardrobe,couch,chairs etc. A premium looking bedroom has an opening to a wonderful river view. Large kitchen facilities. The swimming pool is comparatively small. They also arrange mamalakandam trekking if you pay 3000 more, which is really worth it if you have a 10 members group

Dense Family Resort is a nice cozy place with 4 cottages with all modern amenities. We were a large group, so we had the whole place to ourselves. The owner Sabu is open to every customization request and genuinely tries to help. He had interacted multiple times on wa for the customizations and advance payment. There is a river flowing beside the property where a refreshing bath can be taken. They also have a decent small pool where the kids had loads of fun. The food was also decent, and they have a nice dining area near the pool. Food options are customizable, and we got a BBQ done in the evening. BBQ was not open air given the unpredictable rains, but it was handled well by Sabu who was generous with tips on grilling meat. We also did off-roading to Mamakandam with Sabus at the wheels of his 4-wheel drive jeep. Off-roading is not for the faint hearted, and we had a few heart-in-mouth moments :-). Boating is also an option which we did not try. We were lucky to spot a couple of elephants who wandered into the river from the forest on the opposite side of the resort. The place is easily accessible by any type of car and there is sufficient parking. In general, everyone had a lot of fun and good memories of the place. The cottages and dining are at various levels and it's some climb for people with limited mobility. We worked around it by carrying food to the cottages for senior citizens who did not want to use the stairs. The place gets warm during the daytime when it is not raining but you can be in the AC room and still enjoy the view of the river.

Our family recently stayed at Dense Family Resort, and it was an experience that exceeded all expectations. Nestled on the picturesque banks of the Pooyamkuty River, this property offers a serene escape with four lavishly furnished independent cottages, each boasting a stunning river view. The well-thought-out layout includes a separate dining area with a kitchen, a facility for barbecues, a refreshing swimming pool, and ample parking space for at least five cars. The range of services provided by Dense Family Resort is impressive. From barbecues and off-road safaris to local sightseeing and refreshing dips in the shallow, cool waters of the river, there’s something for everyone. The proprietor and his staff were present throughout our stay, attending to our every need with a blend of professionalism and the warm, homely hospitality typical of village life. Each cottage is well-equipped with modern amenities, including Wi-Fi, smart TVs, water heaters, king-sized beds, extra mattresses, and all the basics you would expect from a four-star hotel room. The comfort and convenience offered here are top-notch. The food served for dinner and breakfast was delightful, with a homely touch that made every meal satisfying and fulfilling. Overall, Dense Family Resort provided a perfect blend of luxury, nature, and heartfelt hospitality. We look forward to our next visit!
